What does Mazi mean?

Fundamental and exclusive to the Greek language, there exists a word embodying a complex array of morals that act as guiding principles in both personal and societal interactions; said principles include, but are not limited to kindness, hospitality, and a sense of honor. The word "philotimo" has no direct translation from Greek, yet as a concept it fails to discriminate; and it is the concept of philotimo that forms the foundation of Mazi

Mazi was founded by Rini Ampelas, a Greek-American university student with a lifelong passion for fundraising and philanthropy. She has an extensive background in humanitarianism, and has been affiliated with a number of organizations all over the world including the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and the Hellenic Red Cross.

So, what does Mazi translate to? Together. It is through togetherness and leaning on one another that society catayzes necessary change. Our mission is to unite people from all walks of life under a common purpose for the greater good of humanity, and to keep the flame of philanthropic fire burning for those who need it.
